S200s
from the PTKiGK Rybnik fleet
PTKiGK Rybnik was the successor of former ‘sand railway’, founded in 1966 to
transport filling materials from sand pits to collieries. Privatized in 1993,
it was taken over by PCC Rail in 2008
and merged into DB Schenker
in 2010 as the Polish division of the German operator. The company operated a
considerable number of heavy switchers, of which S200s formed a major part.
These photos from my collection were all taken by Mariusz
Ni¿yniec at the Jankowice colliery in Upper
Silesia (unless otherwise indicated).
